Teen airlifted with critical injuries after Hesperia hit-and-run
HESPERIA — A 17-year-old boy was airlifted to a trauma center with life-threatening injuries after he was hit by a vehicle while riding a bicycle on Monday morning, authorities said.
San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Hesperia Station deputies were dispatched to the hit-and-run collision at 1:33 a.m. in the vicinity of Main Street and Escondido Avenue.
The 17-year-old and his 16-year-old female companion were riding west on Main Street when he was struck by a white pickup, which fled the scene. The girl was not injured, according to a news release.
