PFB tops 100,000 pledges

Yesterday peopleforbikes.org surpassed 100,000 pledges in support of better bicycling in the U.S. Thanks everyone for quickly recognizing the value of the movement, signing the pledge, and spreading the word! They are well on their way to showing their elected leaders and the public that people across the entire country believe that bicycling is important and should be promoted.

Apple Valley Parks and Rec Vision Workshop

The Town of Apple Valley held a “vision workshop” last night (Wednesday, October 6th), with the expressed goal of help set policies for the parks and recreation department for the next 20 years. For the most part, this was a waste of two perfectly good hours, as Apple Valley has contracted with a firm called MIG to help them with their “vision,” and MIG’s representative seemed set on making the process so general as to be meaningless.
