VICTORVILLE – Design plans for the $4.4 million Mojave Riverwalk project, which will mix bike paths and lanes and feature a trailhead ending near Victor Valley College, continue to be reviewed by the city, the school and San Bernardino County leading up to expected construction next fall.
APPLE VALLEY – With construction on a nearly mile-long stretch of Yucca Loma Road progressing, town officials have tentatively scheduled an opening date for the long-anticipated bridge to which the road leads.
HESPERIA — A 33-year-old bicyclist was transported to a local hospital after a Friday morning collision on Ranchero Road.
VICTORVILLE – Children squealed in delight while each rode their new bicycles around the High Desert Event Center parking lot as the Victorville Parks and Recreation Department held its 13th annual Doris Davies Memorial Bicycle Giveaway Wednesday.
APPLE VALLEY — The nearly 3-mile-long walking path atop the eastern bank of the Mojave River is approximately 60 percent complete, but the finish date has been pushed several weeks to accommodate an extension of the project to the town’s southern border.
A press release from the Town of Apple Valley reads:
We’re blazing trails! Another Class 1 bike path is under construction on Bear Valley [Road] in front of the Spring Valley Lake Equestrian Estates. You’ll soon be able to pedal your way to VVC and beyond!
Hesperia, CA. On October 29th 2016 The high desert held their 2nd annual Victor Valley Bicycle Tour. This year the event remembers two local fallen bicyclists. Proceeds used to promote California’s 3 feet for safety act in the high desert. This video covers highlights of the 100 mile route. Other routes available were 62, 25 and 10 mile family ride.
