Trek Women is holding a local Breast Cancer Awareness Ride (BCAR) on Saturday, October 8, at 10:00 A.M.
Pat Hanson has set October 22nd as the date for the 2011 Tour de Apple Valley. Although details are not yet available, this annual event typically includes metric century and metric half-century rides through Apple Valley.
Twelve riders from VVBC completed the grueling 100-mile Ride Around the Bear. To give you an idea how difficult this ride is, 393 riders entered, but only 307 finished.

The 2011 Bike Ride for Bike Lanes along Bear Valley Road from Victorville to Apple Valley went smoothly this afternoon, thanks to organizers Pat and Chuck Hanson, with the able assistance of Apple Valley town councilmember Barb Stanton.
