2010 Amgen Tour of California: Stage 6

The sixth stage of the 2010 Amgen Tour of California passed through our local mountains, on Friday, May 21st, despite damage to the Angeles Crest Highway during severe winter storms in the wake of last year's fires.

Instead of starting in Pasadena as planned, Stage Six started in Palmdale and finished in Big Bear Lake, following a challenging journey through the San Gabriel and San Bernardino mountains. This stage encompassed more than 135 miles of riding in one day, and more than 12,000 feet in elevation changes.

Here are some of the photos I took during the race.
